The Psychology Association of Undergraduate Students at Erindale (PAUSE) is the representative student society of the Psychology Department at the University of Toronto, Mississauga (UTM).

We proudly serve over 2000+ students and have been recognised for our commitment to student support through various awards such as the Principle's Award of Excellence and Society of the Year!

We aim towards cultivating a warm and welcoming environment where everyone is can become the best version of themselves through events both academic and social.

“Dear Psychology Students,
Welcome to the new academic year! My name is Silas, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the President of PAUSE, your psychology society here at UTM. It’s an honour to step into this role, and I am eager to see all that we’ll achieve together this year!
PAUSE is a community designed for you—a space where all psychology students can connect, collaborate, and grow both academically and personally. Whether you’re new to psychology or a seasoned student, we offer a range of opportunities tailored to your needs.
Our thoughtfully planned programming includes workshops and events to boost your knowledge and prepare you for graduate school applications. You can engage in roundtable discussions to share ideas and gain new perspectives, benefit from our first-year mentorship program, and take advantage of our executive office hours to get your questions answered. You can always feel free to reach out to psychology@utmsu.ca to set up a meeting.
I wish you the best of luck with your studies this year. I’m genuinely looking forward to meeting all of you, hearing your ideas, and working together to make this a memorable year. Wavelength: The Undergraduate Journal of Psychology at UTM
Submission Period: 15th October 2025 - 10th January 2026
This year, PAUSE is proud to present Wavelength, the official Undergraduate Journal of Psychology at UTM! Are you passionate about psychology and neuroscience? Do you want to gain valuable writing and publishing experience? Submit your work to Wavelength!​
​
Starting in October 2025, we will accept submissions for research-style work as well as creative work, all of which focus on the topic of psychology. In January 2026, we will publish the selected submissions as a journal.
The submission forms to be an illustator and sumbit work are now live!

Mizzle of Rain x PAUSE: Call for Participants
Date: Ongoing (Fall 2025-Spring 2026)
PAUSE is partnering with Mizzle of Rain to host a podcast series on mental health awareness. We’re looking for participants willing to share their lived experiences with mental health struggles. Whether through voice or writing, your story can help bring awareness and support to our campus community. ✨

Participants will be given a safe platform to share their stories while ensuring their privacy is protected.

Ace Your Lab Test!

Join PAUSE for “Ace Your Lab Test”, a collaborative review session designed to help you prepare for your first PSY100 lab test. We’ll go over practice questions, clarify key concepts, and share helpful study tips to boost your confidence. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your understanding or test your knowledge, this is a great way to get ready and connect with fellow PSY100 students.
